Angel Pluas is a proud graduate of the California university system having attended Cal Poly, Pomona and later the UCLA School of Law. While at UCLA, Angel was honored to serve as Co-Chair of La Raza Law Students Association, and was also a Managing Editor of the Chicano Latino Law Review. While in law school, he also interned at Los Angeles County’s Office of Independent Review, which investigated instances of police brutality and corruption in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
After law school, Angel worked for several years as an associate attorney at a public entity and employment defense firm where he litigated numerous employment and civil rights cases. Desiring to work on behalf of individuals and not institutions, Angel then went on to work for a well-known plaintiffs’ employment law firm where he successfully represented numerous clients in many different types of employment disputes, including sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, defamation, sexual assault, age discrimination, wage & hour, etc.
Later, Angel formed his own law firm, and in 2013 he formed Milon Pluas LLP with long-time friend and colleague Joshua Milon.
Angel is current a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association.
A native of Ecuador, Angel is bilingual in Spanish.
